Mercantile Group donates Rs. 2 m to Nepal Orthopedic Hospital

The Mercantile Group has donated Rs 2 million to Nepal Orthopedic Hospital, Jorpati, Kathmandu, in the name of the Group's founder and leading Rotarian, Late Gopal Raj Bhandari.

Late Raj Bhandari's wife Kamala handed over the cheque to the Hospital's Medical Director Dr Saju Pradhan amid a function held on Tuesday.

Mercantile Group's Sanjib Raj Bhandari, Rajib Raj Bhandari and Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Population Dr Prabin Mishra were also present on the occasion. The donation will be utilised in improving the ICU and other facilities at the hospital.

Speaking at the programme, Dr Mishra appreciated the Mercantile Group's gesture to improve the orthopedic services and pledged necessary government support for the cause.
