Nepali judo team is set to participate in the World Judo Championship scheduled to be held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil from August 26 to September 1, 2013.
A five-member Nepali judo team, including two players - Deepak Krishna Shrestha and Sunita Magar are competing in the event.
Similarly, Surya Narayan Shrestha is the coach of the team and Nepal Judo Association (NJA) treasurer Bipin Prasad Shrestha is the team manager while the team will be accompanied by NJA president Deepak Harsha Bajracharya. Bajracharya is also the vice-president of Judo Union of Asia.
Bajracharya will participate in the congress of International Judo Federation (IJF), the apex body of judo in the world.
Shrestha will compete in men´s 81 kg while Magar in the women´s 63 kg category
