Barsha Man Pun, an influential leader of UCPN (Maoist) and former minister, has said that his party is ready to provide 42 percent seats to CPN-Maoist in the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections, if the latter agrees for a CA election.
"We request CPN-M to participate in the polls and join hands with our party as a partner in the polls. We are ready to give up 42 percent seats to them," Pun said, as quoted by the official news agency, RSS.
He said the November 19 elections can't be deferred, nor the interim election government can be altered.
"People want election. It will be against the will of people, if we do not conduct election in the stipulated time," he said addressing a press meet in Biratnagar Tuesday.
